Today we caught an 8.30am bus to Izmir where we have stopped to see some famous ruins (at Ephesus) tomorrow. The bus ride was.... Interesting!! To say the least! We drove in the hills for a bit and overtook trucks on blind corners while driving fast, the driver got pulled over by the cops at one point and nearly reversed into an oncoming truck at one stage! Needless to say we were glad to arrive in Izmir haha!!
We explored the city a bit this afternoon. Had a look at the Agora ruins and the waterside area. It's much more modern than the other two cities here. There are more women around and we feel a bit more comfortable!!
