Today we skipped brekky at our hotel because it doesn't come to our room until 830 and we wanted to get going for the day. We caught the 830 SITA bus to Positano on the Amalfi coast. Once again we were treated to spectacular summer like weather!!! So lucky. We walked down the steep steps in Positano and had a look around. Nothing much was open but we were still able to appreciate the beautiful town. There was a wedding on as well, they picked s perfect day for it!!
We got back on another bus and caught it to Amalfi. Here there were a lot of tourists and everything was open. We walked out on the pier to admire the sunshine and the view. Wow. Here, Positano and the towns in between on the bus ride are and will always be the best views I have seen in my life. It's absolutely stunning and surreal. I can't believe such beautiful landscapes exist!! Very glad we went there, I wasnt sure if it would be worth it in winter but it definitely was.
We had a gelato and walked around the town, then caught the 1.5 hour bus ride back to sorrento. Tonight we're going to go out for dinner and pack up ready to leave for Rome tomorrow! Originally we had planned to stop in Naples on the way. But it seemed really dodgy and we didn't like the feeling we had there so we have booked an earlier train to Rome and are going to try and get tickets to the Lazio vs Atalanta soccer match!
