Leaving
Hi all!!
We are all packed up and checking put now. Going to the tiger balm gardens then having lunch and heading out to the airport. Our flight arrives 7.20am Melbourne time.

Pulau Ubin and Changi Museum
Hello everyone!
Today we caught the train to Tanah Merah and then a taxi to the ferry terminal. From here we caught a bumboat to Pulau Ubin (Granite Island). Here we hired bikes and road around the whole island, there were so many beautiful animals, plants and trees. We looked at the wetlands and it started to rain. We kept riding and got caught in a storm and got absolutely soaked!!!! The locals all laughed at us because we were drenched from head to toe
We rang our clothes out at the ferry terminal.
Next we went to Changi Museum and Chapel. Very interesting, I learnt a lot. It was good to pay respect to the civilians and POWs that suffered there.
Now we are back at the hotel and then we are going to Lau Pa Sat again for dinner yumyumyum!!!! Xoxox

Sentosa island and universal studios
Hello all!!!
The pub crawl was great we met some amazing people from all over the world and had a great night!
Yeaterday we caught the cable car across to sentosa island. We went to universal studios. The rides were great!! We saw a few shows and went on every single ride (some 4 or 5 times!!!).
I have been a bit sick the last couple of days think the heat has caught up with me - pub crawl didn't help!! But as the day went on I was ok, hopefully that's the last of that!
After 9 hours at universal we walked to Siloso beach and hung out there til 8.30pm. Then we went back to universal for the 9pm fireworks show!!
Caught the cable car back - such a beautiful view!!
Another great but tiring day! Bring on tomorrow! Xoxox

Botanic Gardens, National Orchid Garden, Orchard Road, Fort Canning Park, Bumboats
Hi all!!
First of all a big hug and kiss to my pa whose bypass surgery went well!!!! Xox
Today we caught the train to the botanical gardens which were beautiful but boy was it hot!!! We went to te national orchid gardens, orchids are my favorite flowers and the display was exceptional!!
Next we walked the entire length of orchard road and looked in a few shops. Cannot believe how huge all of those shopping centres are! We stopped in one for lunch, went to the downstairs food court hawker centre. We had teriyaki chicken bento with various sides and some chicken rice. Yumyumyum!!!! So cheap too - $8 Aussie for the lot!
We then walked up the hill of fort canning park - sooo tiring! We walked so far today and it was so far.
Finally we just went on a river cruise on a bumboat. There was interesting audio explaining our surroundings.
We are having a rest now because we are going on a pub crawl later to explore the night life. Xoxoxox

Zoo, museum
Hello!!
Massive day today. After 6 hours sleep last night we got a taxi to the zoo and had breakfast with the orangutans. We got to feed elephants too! It was 35 and 95% humidity today, but we walked around the zoo for nearly 5 hours. Saw and did absolutely everything!
Next was the National Museum of Singapore. So interesting! Very interactive with an audio guide and there were 2 paths you could choose. You could either have the history of Singapore explained in the context of individuals and their stories, or by descriptions of events. We did half half. Then there was the living gallery too where you could smell foods and learn about every day life and customs. It was all very interesting.
We went to guys boss' brother in law Paul's house for dinner and met his family. His three little girls were very cute but after the big day I had and then playing duck duck goose with them I am absolutely exhausted!!!

Merlion, flyer, marina bay sands, raffles, night zoo
Hi all!
Can't write too much because I am so tired. We walked to the Merlion park, then went up the Singapore flyer and the sands sky park at marina bay sands.
Next was raffles - wow!! Had a Avery expensive but delish Singapore sling each in the long bar then high tea in the tiffin room. Was absolutely amazing, thanks so Much to nan and pa for giving us this present for Xmas! The food was so good but we ate so much we didn't need dinner!!!
We went to the night zoo after this. After some shenanigans with the buses we made it at 9pm. The zoo was open until midnight so we saw everything. Very interesting seeing the nocturnal animals in action!!
I'm off to bed now because we are

Ps thinking of my pa who is having surgery tmro, best of luck pa I love you. And sending out big hugs and kisses to nan and everyone else too! xoxox

Dinner was amazing!!!
Hello all!
Dinner was so amazing I had to make a second post today! So we went to the Asian Civilisations Museum which was really interesting! On the way we walked along the river and saw where Stamford Raffles landed in 1819.
Then we met guy's boss' brother in law for dinner at the Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre for dinner. We had stingray, prawn balls, various satay sticks, mi goreng. All so delicious! It was a great atmosphere too - very vibrant and happening!! The locals were very funny.
We have found a supermarket so we bought a dragon fruit and tried it - very yum!
Good night all and happy Valentines Day - we are off to Raffles High Tea to celebrate the occasion thanks to my wonderful grandparents xoxox
