Hi all!
Sorry for no blog yesterday. To be honest there isn't overly much to report.
Dinner with Louise was a really great catch up Monday night!
Yesterday I got to Waterloo station a tad early so decided to check out the velociraptors that are on display to advertise 'Jurassic World'. I had a few minutes to kill so why not!!
I've had two more school days. Yesterday and today I spent half the day in a year 1 class. Yesterday afternoon they were so rowdy. There were a few boys in particular that were so cheeky!! We had to have a big chat to them. Thankfully they were much better behaved this morning and did their work.
I added a few more skills to my teaching repertoire yesterday. Firstly I had to dig a plant out of the garden to show the kids the parts of a plant. I also had to stop saying 'plant' in my Aussie accent and say it in the English way instead!! Finally I debuted my singing career in front of the year 1s, singing a song about plants (English accent) to the tune of 'I'm a Little Teapot'. Had it stuck in my head all day. Not many people know this but I actually really enjoy singing, it's just I don't sing in front of anyone! Lucky year ones hey ;) haha.
For the remainder of today I took a small group and worked on a special writing project with them for their teachers. It was hard when I don't know their literacy levels but they did quite well!!
Last night I had a really good night. Went out to Stratford to see Jamie and we took advantage of the good weather (it was a clear evening and a nice temperature!) and went for a walk and bought an ice cream. :)
Can't believe it's Wednesday already and I'm nearly through 3 of 6 weeks before the summer. Crazy!
