Hi all!
I've had such a great day today! But first a quick recap of yesterday...
Was a pretty standard day to be honest. Had school, the kids were a bit rowdy. PE went fairly well! At night I went for a walk in the sun and then registered at the local doctor. Something else to cross off the list!
Today was great. First of all it's been 23 and sunny, a "hot" day by English standards. And as much as Aussies usually think it's silly saying that's hot, having no air con anywhere means it does get quite hot! There's not really any relief.
Today was a great school day. I got everything done I had to do, the kids were pretty good. Those who misbehaved I thought I handled lots better. We got all the class work done in plenty of time. I even went out and did yard duty when I didn't have to because the weather was so gorgeous!!
We had PE again and I made up another game which the kids loved. One girl even came back after school to tell me how much fun she had in PE. She asked if I will join in the Skipathon they're having tomorrow to raise money for charity - I have to supervise anyway so I think I just might!! Get to wear sports clothes, leggings and tshirt come at me!
The highlight of the day was assembly. In the class I was in today there's a boy with autism. He's such a lovely boy, but sometimes doesn't know how to behave in a group or things like that. The class teacher had told me to give him student of the week I assembly, so up I got in front of key stage 1 and told them all that student of the week went to this boy. You should have seen his face light up!! He was so happy, and when I went and sat down with him afterwards he said "thank you for picking me this, you can have this crystal, keep it safe" and gave me a bead haha. Even better was when I was dismissing the kids after school and I got to tell his nana how well he has worked this week. Warm and fuzzies :)
Bought myself a fascinator on the way home because I'm off to the races on Saturday! I'm not on the tube and it's hottttt. Hate to think what it's like when it gets to 30 degrees - hope I don't find out!!
Tonight I'm off to Stratford for dinner. Can't believe tmro is Friday already!!
Love to all
