Back in year 2

Hi all!

Not too much to report today. A teacher at school was off ill so I was in Kingfishers all day!!

They were pretty rowdy to be honest. Luckily the work was emailed to me so I read over it all on the train and printed/photocopied/got everything set up once I was at school. I kept telling the kids that last week in secondary schools was awful and that I had missed them, so they had better be good or I would go back to high school! It somewhat worked. 

Two kids got in a fight on the carpet and I had to talk to their parents about it. That was pretty scary! But I handled it ok. Got them apart and we talked to them one on one. 

I used mine and Erika's weekend as tourists as a reward. I told the kids for every good session they had at the end they could play a guessing game about what tourist attractions I had been to over the weekend. When they guessed them I would show them a photo. Apparently my "face looks different" when I wear shorts. That makes sense :/ haha. 

Was correcting some work about the Great Fire of London this arvo and had a laugh when one of the kids wrote that if he were there at the time he would have run into his house and saved his "animals, good, iphone and Xbox". Didn't know they were that advanced in 1666! Haha. 

I'm now in Hammersmith about to meet my friend Louise (who I met in the Greek islands) for dinner which I'm really looking forward to. I crosse Putney bridge on the way here and got the bus part way as I have a travel card this week which means I can travel unlimited on public transport zones 1-3. We are having dinner at Belushi's which is where I broke a table and lost (then found!) my coat my first weekend here at the start of May. Oops!
