Today I got work - hooray!!
Woke up at 7, called my agencies and heard back from one at 7.20am. Flew out of bed and nearly forgot my lunch, but remembered just in time!
Today I was out east. I caught the train from Liverpool Street out past Jamie's to a station called Goodmayes out in Dagenham. To be honest I think behaviour wise it was the best high school I've taught at! And I had the added bonus that the school day began at 8.45 (earlier than other high schools I've been to) and had a shorter lunch break, therefore finishing at 2.50pm!
I had double year 7 food tech first and they were absolutely lovely. They worked so hard and kept asking if I was going to be their teacher because I was nice (apparently seven weeks in they don't have a permanent one?!). Then I had year 9 French. They did a test so it was blissful silence :)
Period 4 I had year 9 art. A bit rowdy but they liked the work, it was a sheet on Banksy, an anonymous street artist who's done a lot of work over here. No one knows who he is though!!!
Period 5 I got a bit excited. I was in the maths building and thought I might finally get to cover some secondary maths over here. No such luck, more French :( never mind. They were fairly good!!
School finished so early that at 3.15 I was on the train home and I got home early enough I could work on some job applications and a few other errands I needed to tick off my list.
Now I'm on my way to Jamie's for boot camp, dinner and some trashy TV!
By the way, there were two police horses patrolling my area on my way home. Thought you would appreciate Mum so I took a photo :)
Love to all
Claire

PS: Shattered Paul Seedsman has left Collingwood :( I want to say Darcy Moore is my new favourite but based on Seedsman and Thomas I had better not jinx him...!
