Jamie's moving day

Hello everyone!

Sorry there was no blog yesterday. I'm still a bit sick and needed my sleep!!

Yesterday I got up at 4am to Skype my family who were at the RACV club in Melbourne for my Pa's 90th birthday. It was great having a quick chat with everyone and getting to see and hear both my Pa and uncle's speeches! Then we sang happy birthday. I was lucky that I was able to sleep for another 3 hours afterwards, meaning I got about 10-11 hours in total. Needed that to help my cough!!! Made me miss the fam but I'll see them so soon now anyway :) Hope you all had a great time xox

Yesterday morning I headed to Stratford. In March I told myself that all year I was only allowed to buy clothes when I needed them (eg singlets when mine got ruined, new shorts when mine fell apart). I told myself before I went home I could spend £50 on clothes at Primark. So I had a mini shopping spree! I ended up getting a top and dress for teaching, a going out top, a headband, a necklace and a pair of warm winter patterned leggings. Then I went to Paperchase and bough some London stickers and a photo album as well as some pens - all with the tube pattern on them!! My station is right on front of the album too.

Then I went to Jamie's and helped him pack up. We put everything into a small van and drove it to his Mum's. He's moving to his mum's for a few weeks before he comes to Australia. The drive went fairly quickly to Hertfordshire, and we made it to Barnet where his Mum lives. I met his Mum who was really lovely and we had lunch together.

Then we headed to drop the van off and went to a pub to watch the Springboks play the All Blacks. It was a really close match but NZ just pulled off the win so if we beat Argentina today we will play them in the final next Saturday!!

We went into the city afterwards and checked out a bar for Jamie's leaving drinks. It's the site where the game of ping pong was invented and you can play it in the bar - really cool!!

We headed back to mine after that as this cough is really draining my energy. Got an extra hour of sleep due to daylight savings ending, which is great but I'm not looking forward to leaving and coming home from work both in the dark!!!

Today I'm off to watch the wallabies play Argentina (the Pumas). If we win we are in the rugby World Cup final next week!

Love to all
Claire
