First of all a huge THANK YOU! to all my readers. I am so proud to say that last night I hit 15,000 page views. Amazing!! Thank you all.
Not too much to report today. Some people in the hostel last night were really loud and selfish, but after the third time they had woken me up by talking loudly someone on the bottom floor screamed "SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BLOODY SLEEP IN 'ERE!" I couldn't help but laugh haha.
This morning I packed up and headed to the station. I caught the 9.02am train to Lladjudno and then hung out there for an hour and a half. I got some things done, my diary etc. Mum had logged on online and secured me some tickets to West Ham vs Newcastle on September 14, but it wouldn't let her pay on the system. So I gave a West Ham a call and they were able to grab the seats she had on hold and I paid over the phone. Yay! So I'm going to the premier league with our family friend Stephen. Can't wait! I also skyped Mike, Michelle, Ella and Sophie. It was great to talk to them!!
I then boarded my second and final train which went for nearly four hours to Cardiff. The scenery along the way was quite nice as today was another pretty day weather wise! I arrived at Cardiff Central Station and walked the 15-20 minutes to the hotel to meet my friend Rob from home. Always great to see a friendly face from home.
We had a bit of a chat and then went for a wander. We saw the Main Street of Cardiff and the castle. Then we sat down and had a drink in the Main Street, after which we walked further down the Main Street and just wandered aimlessly. Apparently Cardiff is known as the "city of arcades" - there are heaps!! Reminds me a lot of the arcades in Melbourne.
We had dinner at a pub and are now back at the hotel. I think this is the fanciest place I've stayed all year, it's so nice :)
Love to all
Claire
