The Topdeck tour has begun!

Hi all!

Am in Maccas at the moment to post this haha.

Met Libby easily yesterday. It took us an hour to figure out how to get to the campsite for our tour but eventually we got the #32 bus and were on our way!

We met our tour. They've all been together for a week already so I'm glad we had each other. Our guide (Dave), cook (Laura) and everyone seem really nice. We swap who we are in a cabin with each time but this time I'm with Tess, Dani and Teagan. Teagan has just joined as well and me, her and Libby have spent all of today together. They're both really nice :)

This tour includes pretty much all of our meals. We had chicken and salad with crumble and custard for dessert last night - yum!! Socialised a bit and tried to remember names (about 35 people). I should get them pretty quick though knowing me!

Slept quite well and this morning we had breakfast and were on our way. Started at the sculpture park. We didn't get much time so glad I went with dad. The weather is still incredible!!

Next we went to the Viking Ship Museum. There were three ships -  Oseberg, Gokstad and Tune. The Vikings buried their dead in shops if they were higher up people. Over time these ships have been discovered in the countryside! These ships were from around 800 AD. They took 5 months to move but 21 years to restore and prepare. The first ship was found in 1904 and was taken to the museum using planks to roll it along in 1926.

Then the others went to either the Kontiki or Fram museum. I had been yesterday so relaxed outside.

Then we got dropped in town for 7 hours. Me, Libby and teagan have taken it quite easy as we have seen everything we wanted to here already. Did a bit of shopping (bought nothing!), wandered around and lay down in the palace gardens in the sun. Tonight we are having a cheap dinner (one of very few not included) and then a Punch party back at the campsite. Alcohol is very dear here so everyone is putting in to all share.

Tomorrow we are off to Andalsnes via Lillehammer. I'll try post when I can! No photos today because I'm just on my phone, I'll attach the few I have taken on my phone.

Love to all
Claire
