Hi all!
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It's been a bit crazy and I only just stopped. I'm going to do a massive post for yesterday and today with pictures right at the end.
Yesterday we headed down to Santorini port and caught our 45 minute ferry to Ios; our final island :( it's famous for partying. The weather was beautiful once again!!!
We got to our hotel and then headed to the beach. 9 of us went tubing, basically meaning we went on a mini raft type thing and got towed around by a boat at high speeds! It was sooooo much fun! Hurt my back a bit but was so much fun I didn't care. I had a go with Gracie Caitlin Kirra and Carly. Then we hung out on the beach for a while. I love the weather here at the moment. It's warm but not boiling. I can comfortably laze around on the beach!
Then we had a bit of a rest. After that a few of us went to Caitlin and Kirra's room for cards and drinks. They have lucked out and have a two bedroom apartment so we all fitted easily!
We had dinner at out hotel. We had unlimited pizza which was absolutely delicious. I ate 12 slices because it was quite thin. Then we played some drinking games which was really funny!
Caught the bus into town and started our bar crawl. We went to 6 bars in total. The tradition in Ios is that at every bar they have a shot challenge. If you can down 7 shots in one go you get a singlet from that bar, each bar has a different singlet. I'd told myself I would be happy if I got one. Well! I certainly surprised myself. I had one of the biggest nights ever and spent far too much money and drank far too much alcohol!!! Oops. I ended up with FOUR singlets! Milena and I stuck together and did lots of them. Don't stress if you see pictures of a guy wearing my dress and me wearing boy's clothes. One of the bars also had a tradition where guys and girls swapped clothes! So Michelle and Tom swapped, Adam and Carly, and me and Dave.
We all had a really fun night and danced the night away til 5am. Then we had some gyros in the street which was incredible !!! Got a cab home to our hotel and crashed.
I woke up this morning not feeling the best! Everything was sore from tubing and then I was hungover as well. But considering what a big night I had I actually felt really good. Got ready and went and met the others for our jet boat ride. We went on a high speed boat which was lots of fun. We got pretty high over some of the waves ! We went swimming and climbed through some caves. It got a bit rough here and was a bit scary ! Then we stopped at a beach and went snorkelling. We played bocci, tennis and then had lunch on the boat.
Cruised back to Ios and here I am. It's been a huge couple of days!
Tonight we have our final farewell dinner as tomorrow some of us leave to go back to Athens. Me, Gracie, Luke, Christie, Caitlin and Kirra leave with Tom tomorrow and then I'm off to Sweden the following day! The others are staying on here for a few more nights.
I'll post at some point tomorrow but it'll just be a day of chilling and then a 6 hour ferry ride!
