Back in London

Hi all!

This morning we got up, packed up and set off to the bus stop. As we were packing I got a message on the EasyJet app saying our flight was delayed 1.5 hours which wasn't a great start!!

We got the bus to the airport and thankfully saw on the departures board our flight was on time, no idea what that message was about! Yay!

Got to immigration and Jamie waltzed through the EU queue again, whilst I waited in the other passports one. He started teasing me about it and I poked my tongue out at him. The immigration guy saw and motioned me over, letting me go through. HA!

We boarded our plane and as we climbed the stairs savoured the last few seconds of heat and sunshine, won't experience heat again until Melbourne summer!

My iPad died and I finished my book, so we passed the 2.5 hours by playing a categories game. It was quite funny as our seats weren't next to each other, but across the aisle from each other, so people kept looking at us weirdly. We came up with categories and said whoever won won an ice cream. You had to say things in that category and the first person to not be able to lost.

We started with countries in Europe (smashed it!) and then Jamie decided to play dirty and say premier league teams (which he obviously won!) so I hit back and said AFL teams (which I won!!). I also won tube stations (all that tube travel has been worth it haha!) and we ended up with heaps written down on paper, did pretty well! We kept playing with things like US states, tennis players, Aussie cricket players. I ended up winning 7-4, looking forward to my ice cream!!!

Landed at London Stansted, back where my summer holidays began with Brendon on July 19 to Ireland. How quickly did that all go??! It was less than half the temperature of Croatia at a balmy 14 degrees :( out came the leggings and cardigan from my bag....

Got to immigration and Jamie had to join the massive EU queue, whilst I joined the non existent other passports queue and got straight through. That's a first!!

Then we queued for the EasyBus service back to London. Managed to get on one 45 minutes earlier than ours as we got out of the airport so quickly! It dropped us very conveniently at Old Street station, 10-15 minutes walk from my place. So now I'm just doing some washing etc and going to stay at Jamie's a bit later. Think we are going to go for a run, have some dinner and watch 'The Castle'. Our "movie" last night turned into me showing Jamie all of those "Toyota AFL legendary moments" ads they used to make - forgot how hilarious those are! I had to explain who all the legends were too haha.

So while I'm feeling a little flat being back and having to deal with the fact that I have to work this week after eight weeks off (boohoo - poor me! Haha) I just have to stop for a second and remember....I live in London! And here's a taste of the next few weeks: one of my oldest friends Bradley arrives this week, premier league, my best friend Ash coming over, birthday dinner and Harry Potter studios, Oktoberfest. I think I'll be ok ;)

Love to all
Claire
