Hi everyone!
We are now in Munich. NYE was a bit scary in Paris but after a 1.5 hour walk home my navigational skills got us back to our hotel!
On Saturday nothing was open, but we did a walking tour of the Latin quarter. It was pretty boring but there was nothing else to do! We went out for dinner in Montmartre and then went up the tower. It was lucky it was so clear on Thursday because there was no view on Saturday - it was all fog!
We left for Munich today and for the first time ever all our trains were on time! We even arrived half an he early! The hotel is great. It's called wombats and it's pretty much all Aussies staying here. Our room is huge and the facilities are great - free Internet on my phone!
I'll post again after we've been here a few days, but even after the few hours we have been here we are liking it so much more than Berlin!

HI Claire. Great to hear from you. We liked Munich much more than Berlin. Bad luck you didn't get better weather for the Tower at night.I sent a great long comment in answer to your Paris message, but the screen went blank, so guess I did something wrong. Hope I have better luck this time. Have a great 2011. We love you very much and can't wait to hear all about all your travels. Nan and Pa.

We did a walking tour today and then went up the tower of St peters cathedral and were once again lucky and had clear weather, beautiful view of a snow topped munich! Neuschwanstein tomorrow! We are very excited! Linderhof as well.
