Not too much to report today. This morning Emily, Rhi and I all drove to Richmond Park. This is a huge park in the South west of London (towards Heathrow). Em and Rhi are doing a 103km charity walk in June so today they wanted to train by walking 15 miles (about 25km).
So we did two laps of the park, first we went one way, then we turned around and back tracked!! There were heaps of deer in the park. By complete fluke while taking a photo of them I got a photo of two jumping up to fight each other which is apparently extremely rare!!
There were lots of people out walking, running and bike riding the track as even though it was quite cool today the sun was shining!
My favourite part of the walk was getting to the 'St Paul Vista' - a point in the park where they aren't allowed to plant trees and must keep the trees trimmed back because you can see all the way to St Paul's Cathedral in London!
All together the walk took us about four hours. It was great to get out and do some nice exercise, but my muscles are a bit stiff now!
This afternoon Emily and I watched two movies 'Love Happens' and 'Gladiator'. Missed half of both of them though because we both fell asleep! Thought you would be proud of me Pa, haha!
Tonight we had a beef casserole cooked in the slow cooker with veggies, and apple strudel with ice cream for dessert. It was all incredible! I tried brussel sprouts for the first time and.....I liked them! Unsure why they get such a bad wrap?!?
Tomorrow morning I head off to Bath to stay with Rachel, my roommate from the first five weeks of South America. So excited to see her and for Bath!!!!
Love to all
Claire
